An almost mystical air to his network, totally above and beyond PC conceptions. Thinking about animalism, is that rat just sat there or is it spying on me? type paranoia in his foes.

Also his Lair, I see a mix of muck and elegance, perhaps deep, deep, deep in the heart of the sewers you open a rusted iron door and are in the heart of shady elegance. Same for his appearance like a real Old World monster. Perhaps bordering on fiend like in look.
