Just watched this on DVD. 4 part horror serial from 1981 on the BBC. Stef might remember it, I certainly didn't.

Surprisingly tense and disturbing for its time, loosely inspired by Who Goes There, the book that The Thing was based on and the Children of Voidianoi (sp?) novel.

Basically a series of gruesome murders in which the victims are literally torn limb from limb plague a small Scottish Island. The forensic evidence suggests the killer is NOT human, least not entirely.

Made me think of the Quatermass series of films...
