Not that it has anythign to do with the subject, but what is considered the "greatest" football/soccer team in the British Isles?

Are you trying to start a new civil war?

This would be a thoroughly emotive subject. You won't get two identical answers. Everyone fervently believes "their" team to be the "greatest".

It also swings, Manchester Utd, a very rich and previously successful team haven't won anything this year, for example (heh heh heh!).

Except in Scotland, where Ranger and Celtic always win. Indeed, therein lies one of the greatest rivalries in the world. Fueled by religious intolerance, the two Glasgow teams.

I refuse to be drawn on this subject, save a mentioned for Brentford. They aren't up there with the big boys, but the Bees are the team local to where I grew up and it is they, none of the big guns, which occupies any kind of interest in my heart.

Any Englishman *will* say that the all time greatest team was the 1966 World Cup Squad.

I'm not a great fan of football but the past year I've watched Derby county fight it's way up from the bottom end of the league to play with the *big boys*

I watch them every time they play and I even have a t shirt with the rams, their nickname, emblazened across the front!!
